Phil Collins is running for the Oshkosh common council in this month's election. The nonpartisan primary will be on Feb. 16. He has a B.A. in political science and a Master's in Public Administration. He was in the navy for 21 years, including six months near Baghdad. When he lived in the Chicago area, in 2013, he won a nonpartisan election for township trustee.
If he wins, he won't vote to increase anyone's property tax bill, and he'll try to keep spending low. Right after each meeting, he'll type a meeting summary, on his Facebook page. If he can vote on a city mask ordinance, he won't vote for it until he conducts a survey of many business owners. |
